First of all, not sure if you're in the US, but you're not eligible for FMLA unless you work at a place with over 50+ employees I believe, further, I don't think you're eligible if you haven't been working there for at least a year (I think at least a year, could be 6 months) anyway. I would check into that, just to make sure, because a lot of places will NOT give you 12 weeks unless FMLA dictates that they must. So watch out for that. A lot of times too, there is a probationary period, where you're not considered a "full time employee" until after like 6 weeks or 6 months, whatever the period is. That sometimes affects ability to qualify for FMLA as well. Don't mean to sound negative, just had a bad experience (got a new job when I was pregnant, put in my two weeks and finished my old job, right before I was supposed to start the new job, they were able to weasel out of the offer and I was out of work for 8 months while pregnant and lost my insurance. So be careful.
